Why
has the Mother's Day 2005 Project been created?
|

| |
The inspiration for
this project is Dr. Nancy Friedman Grassian, who died on February
27, 2004, at the age of 52, after a courageous twelve-year battle with leiomyosarcoma, a
rare form of cancer.
As the project has
evolved, we have been further inspired by another remarkable woman,
Mara Beller, who died of
ovarian cancer on October 30, 2004 at the age of 59.
We are also honored
to share the dedications to the loved ones of many of our donors.
